In order to synthesize a variety of cultures in eastern Taiwan as a feature of regional development,

local arts, system support and academic research,

the first fine arts college was set up in National Hwalien University Education in 2005.

Then it was composed of Music Department, Art & Design Department.

Graduate Institute of Art and Technology Education, Graduate Institute of Art and Vision Education.

In2008, when National Hwalien University was integrated into National Dong Hwa University,

the Liberal Art College was reinforced by the existing Graduate Institute of Ethnology.

In addition, Department of Art Industry & Innovation is scheduled to be launched in 2100.

During the process, we have been undertaking the Academic Quality Improvement Program,

the Local Aesthetics & Modern Media Program, the Music Innovation Teaching & Digital Music Program in eastern Taiwan,

and the Media Innovation &Digital Image Program. Furthermore,

we have published a series of art stories about eastern Taiwan, respectively made up of Vision Images and Music,

as well as Contemporary Artist Portfolios in Hwalien. Last but not least,

we have managed to hold several important Art Festivals in Asia. At the critical moment,

we are achieving our core mission to promote our academic quality at a very high level and cultivate art creativity as a new social impetus.
